PAIMI Advisory Council Meeting
May 7, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
PAIMI Advisory Council
The disAbility Law Center of Virginia has a Protection & Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Council. The Council is entirely volunteer-run, and joining this council allows folks to have the opportunity to learn more about mental health on a policy/state level, have input in the work that the disAbility Law Center of Virginia does for individuals with mental health needs in institutions, and share their community and advocacy experiences to empower people with mental health needs across the Commonwealth. In order to join the Council, there are NO professional requirements needed – we just want folks who care deeply about mental health and making a change!
Additionally, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC); recipients of mental health services; and/or, residents of the Southwest, Western, and Tidewater regions of Virginia are encouraged to apply.
To learn more about the Council and share your own thoughts and experiences, attend one of our meetings, which are 100% open to the public!
If you would like any additional information on the PAIMI Council, you can contact Nicole Durose at nicole.durose@dLCV.org.
