During Federal Fiscal Year 2020, dLCV received a total of 362 Critical Incident Reports from State Hospitals and Training Centers operated by the Department. While reporting compliance increased in FY 20, we still believe some facilities are under-reporting incidents. Poor reporting limits the ability of watchdog organizations, including dLCV, the Office of the State Inspector General, and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) itself to fully monitor and assess conditions at DBHDS-Operated Facilities. It also violates the law.
